1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Membo (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. Membo is a project operated by RUNONRICE. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Membo helps you create and review flashcards. The Service uses Anthropic’s Claude models to generate flashcards from content you provide. Generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.

3. Your Account

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity on your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the notes, documents, and other material you submit (“Your Content”). You grant Membo a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service, including sending relevant portions to Anthropic for flashcard generation. You represent that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not infringe on the rights of others.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe the rights of others;
  • upload malware or attempt to disrupt the Service;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service;
  • use the Service to generate harmful, deceptive, or illegal content;
  • submit data you are not authorized to share.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service is built on Cloudflare (hosting, storage, and edge compute) and Anthropic (Claude models for flashcard generation). Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms of those providers.

7. Changes & Termination

We may update the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI-generated flashcards are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RUNONRICE and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
